The struggle to keep afloat basket case club Birmingham City has ended for manager Lee Clark and coach Steve Watson.

The Midlands club having more behind the scenes problems at ownership level than even possibly Newcastle united.

With Birmingham struggling again this season in twenty first place out of twenty four, Saturday’s home loss to rock bottom Bolton was the last chapter for Clark and Watson.

Lee Clark had moved over to Birmingham from Huddersfield in 2012 and some Newcastle fans have previously envisaged him as a potential manager at St.James’ Park.

However, the Geordie and former NUFC favourite is now between jobs after Birmingham released the following short statement;

“Birmingham City Football Club has parted company with Lee Clark and Steve Watson with immediate effect.

“The search for a successor has already begun. The board will look to make an appointment in the very near future.”
