Hereford v Newcastle – Do Your Duty

RonnieRadford2As if it wasn’t bad enough getting knocked out of the FA Cup before 62 of the 64 third round teams had even kicked a ball, there is now a vote to humiliate Newcastle United even further.

To ‘celebrate’ their coverage of the FA Cup, ESPN are running a poll to find the greatest ever FA Cup moment…also known as the most humiliating one for the vanquished giant.

Here are the five candidates…

Hereford v Newcastle
Colchester v Leeds
Bournemouth V Manchester United
Sutton United v Coventry
Wrexham v Arsenal

Ladies and gentlemen, I don’t care what you vote for, just get voting for any of the other four!

The voting ends on the 20th January, tell all your friends to also do their duty.

Ronnie Radford and Ricky George must be consigned to history, do your bit.

We’ll win that no problem whatsoever. When I read this the first thing that popped into my head was watching the Grand National around 15years ago when Ricky George had a share in a horse which was running. The BBC were interviewing him and delighted in showing footage of the match before the race of us getting it off him and his mates in ’72.
His horse won as well which just about sums it up really and i think they showed him scoring again in the end credits.
Can’t remember the name of the horse?

Vote for ManUre v Bournemouth, like I did. They are well in the lead, perhaps showing that the rest of the country want to remind them of their failures.
The Herefore match still gives me nightmares.

The Hereford Times are trying to fix the result – http://www.herefordtimes.com/sport/10149608.Chance_to_make_Hereford_United_s_win_over_Newcastle_United_the_top_giantkilling/?ref=rss.

In the last 4 hours, their percentage has gone from 11% to over 22%, in second place behind the Mankers.

      Owen,
Sorry but the rules on commenting don’t allow you to include links to other web pages or websites, so we had to remove the one you’d included.

Interesting to see that the Hereford game details starts with “This may be the most iconic giant-killing of all” as if ESPN want them to win

With the Cabaye incident at Brighton last season and Craig Burley’s apparent hatred of Newcastle I’m glad they’ve lost their Premier League rights.
