Hatem Ben Arfa Gives Explosive Secret Interview Without Club Permission

An interview with Hatem Ben Arfa has appeared tonight online which was carried out with a collective of journalists, exposing the frustration that our (sometimes) French genius feels with Newcastle United and in particular, Alan Pardew.

A few days ago we brought you [intlink id=”42266″ type=”post”]quotes from Hatem Ben Arfa\’s lawyer[/intlink], in which he stated that they wouldn’t take character assassination of the player by those at the club, lying down. In particular he said both he and Hatem wouldn’t stand for the ‘spreading of false information’.

The following quotes have appeared on the Mail Online, but George Caulkin of The Times has revealed via Twitter, that the Mail have broken ranks with the other journalists as to the timing of the breaking of the story.

Plus George has also revealed that; ‘One thing: Ben Arfa requested the interview. It wasn’t sanctioned by the club (who don’t allow interviews unless they are sponsored).’

Here is what Hatem had to say and it will make uncomfortable viewing for Alan Pardew and the football club, who are continually trying to put a positive spin on a shambles that has now lasted over four months;

“Yeah, it was very difficult (watching the latest rubbish on Monday night).

“I was sat at home watching it on TV and it was hard because we’ve lost too many times…3-0, 4-0, 3-0 – it’s hard when you love the supporters and it’s hard to lose every time like that.

“It hurts because I am competitive, I want to play and help my team. Of course I want to play every game but that’s not my decision. I train hard and I try to start, but if I’m not starting, or on the bench, I’ve got to respect the decision.

“I feel sad and frustrated but not angry, I just want to help my team and I can’t – it hurts a lot.

“I want to take the ball and the maximum for my team. When I see us losing games 3-0/4-0, it’s very hard for me.

“If I’m involved on Saturday then I could make a difference, I would like to try.

“On the pitch I offer my flair and creativity – I try every time to do something. I think I can give a lot for the club.

“I do not know why I am not playing, you’ll have to ask the manager.

“After the defeat against Manchester United we had a strong exchange of words but that’s it. He doesn’t want me to play and I respect it. If he wants then I will play, I am here for the club. I enjoy training and I just want to play – I’m fit.

If Alan Pardew says to me that he doesn’t believe in me for next season, I want to stay. However, if the Chairman wants to sell me then I have to go. I want to stay here even if the manager does not believe in me because I will show him I can play here.

“I think that Pardew believes in me but he does not show it – I don’t know why.

“He needs to give me more confidence because I think he believes in me.

“If the manager does not play me then I respect that but every player needs confidence – it hurts.

“My dream is to be in the top four next season with Newcastle and to get into the Champions League, or win a cup.

“Everybody is going to say that Newcastle are not a big team, that they are a small team, but it is not true.”
