Has Alan Pardew Lost The Dressing Room?

This last week has proven beyond doubt that Pardew has lost the dressing room.

In December I commented that Captain Colo and pants Pardew had irretrievably fallen out, that’s now come to a head and the best we can hope for now is he stays until the end of the season and then goes for nowt.

Ba went and cited team tactics and the long ball game as one of the main reasons he left, he obviously lost faith in the manager and his pathetic outdated 4-4-2 system.

Don’t care what anyone says but Ben Arfa is on his way and who can blame him, he’s far too good for a team managed by Pardew who possess’ about as much sophistication and tactical nous as Joe Kinnear, maybe it’s a cockney thing!

Tiote won’t be with us after the summer break, rumour has it that deal has already been done.

There’s too much rumour centred on Santon to just be idle press gossip, the targeting of a left back pretty much backs that up.

The only players that seem willing to stay are the ones that aren’t really fit to wear the shirt, with the exception of Cabaye and new boy Debuchy, but it’s not going to take much for Cabaye to have his head turned is it?

And we certainly don’t seem to have what it takes to attract decent replacements any more either, maybe if the players we are trying to attract could see a manager who they believe can get us out of trouble, then it could all be different, but that’s simply not the case is it?

But who can blame them, just look at his record. Forget that fluky 5th place finish last year, just look at the facts;

In 98 games at the helm of the good ship NUFC, Pardew has won just 36, lost 35, and drawn far too many against some very poor teams, he’s never got past the third round of any cup competition and only has one top half finish to his name – that infamous 5th place finish everyone refers to when defending his pathetic managerial record.

In fact if you compare Pardew to all of Newcastle’s permanent managers since 1992, he has the third lowest win percentage, only slightly ahead of Ruud Gullit (who despite dropping Shearer at least got us to an FA Cup final) and Sam ‘long ball’ Allardyce (ring any bells?) who was sacked, even though he was 5 positions higher than Pardew is now.

…and just for the record both Ruud and Allardyce were of course sacked because of their poor record but somehow Pardew hangs on to his job…

Pardew really is pants (as proven by his lousy record) and change is the only option.

PS…Just my opinion!
