Cheick Tiote ‘I Want To Leave Newcastle’
What many fans had suspected over the summer is now seemingly coming to light, with Cheick Tiote quoted saying he wants to leave Newcastle United.
The quotes were made in an interview Cheick Tiote gave back home in the Ivory Coast and confirmed that in the summer there was interest from both Arsenal and a club in Russia.
Here are the quotes as reported by African website koaci.com
“I want to leave.
“I have spent four years with Newcastle and I think I have reached a stage where it is maybe time for me to look elsewhere for a new challenge.
“It is true there were contacts for me from Arsenal and a club in Russia but I would prefer to stay in England.”
“However, I keep a good head on his shoulders and I will continue putting in performances.
“Then as I have said, by December or the end of the season, we’ll see what happens.”
This revelation then explains Alan Pardew’s comments that came out of the blue on Monday, when he was saying about [intlink id=”48094″ type=”post”]having to sort out Tiote\’s contract [/intlink]despite it still having three years to run, the manager obviously aware that these quotes from Tiote were going to emerge this week in England.
