Alan Pardew crowned king of the Premier League sack race survivors
Against all odds, it looks as though the Premier League sack race is going to get to Christmas without claiming a single victim.
Less than a week remains to get to Xmas without a single sacking, which would be the first time since 1995/96 that this unnatural freak event occurred.
With only five Premier League wins in ten months, Alan Pardew is surely deservedly crowned as the king of the survivors.
His Houdini like escape before results picked up, led to the media regularly citing the Newcastle manager as a reason not to prematurely get rid of your team’s boss.

Last season there were five managerial casualties before a fat bloke in a red and white outfit appeared anywhere other than the Stadium of Light, though Malky Mackay only lasted until 27th December.
In order, the five who went pre-Christmas last season were;
Paolo Di Canio – Sunderland (22 Sept 2013)
Ian Holloway – Crystal Palace (23 Oct 2013)
Martin Jol – Fulham (1 Dec 2013)
Steve Clarke – West Brom (14 Dec 2013)
Andre Villas-Boas – Spurs (16 Dec 2013)
