A vital match today that could have sent us in either direction but it looked as though all was ending all square and Newcastle still in no-man’s land.

Up stepped Sammy Ameobi and just a hint of Papiss Cisse, to send the home fans into unexpected ecstasy.

A valuable lesson, yet again, for those who leave early.
