Fans choose Newcastle starting 11 v Leicester

The fans’ choice of the Newcastle starting 11 v Leicester is unlikely to match Alan Pardew’s…but no surprise there.

Thanks as always to the thousands of you who made the effort to vote and the breaking news is that a majority, even if only just (51%), want Gabriel Obertan in the starting eleven.

At the top of the tree are Papiss Cisse and Cheick Tiote which simply reaffirms their importance to the team and fingers crossed they are fit to play after their late return from the African Nations qualifiers.

Sammy Ameobi has also picked up support (38%) after contributing at Swansea, including an assist, though news yesterday that he is now a doubt for the match after picking up a knock in training.

At the other end of the equation, support for Riviere ((27%), Gouffran (9%) and Anita(7%) has all but disappeared.

Sissoko is also losing support with ineffective performances, while as usual the supporters massively prefer Massadio Haidara over Paul Dummett.

Interesting to see as well that backing for Remy Cabella (75%) to start today today remains constant, we had a poll earlier in the week asking specifically whether he should stay and it returned an almost exact same return of [intlink id=”48927″ type=”post”]three in four fans wanting to see him[/intlink] given his chance today.
