About Us

All those years ago back in August 1988, ‘The Mag’ became the first Newcastle United magazine ‘for the fans by the fans’. Since its inception it has led the way both in terms of sales and production quality, developing a nationwide reputation at the cutting edge of fan based football magazines.

Launched in 2011, The Mag has now moved into the twenty first century with its very own online magazine to compliment the printed version. Same quality as the magazine but loads of extra writers, plus innovative features that sees The Mag online also leading the way on the world wide web.

Combining the highest professional production with content produced by match going Newcastle United supporters, The Mag Online gives the fans that up to the minute access backed up by all of those many years experience covering the Toon.

Success on the field may continue to elude us but our winning formula of star interviews, regular guest columnists, match previews & reports, blogs, competitions, videos, ‘NUFC in the press’, regular visits into The Mag’s magazine archive and informed editorial – equals hitting the back of the net every time, with the odd unlucky rebound off the woodwork.

At the heart of everything is you the supporters; all contributors share one common theme, a love of Newcastle United, and apart from the regular columnists there are countless routes of interaction for visitors to The Mag Online.

Just as Newcastle United is ‘our’ club, this is ‘our’ website – for everybody who bleeds black & white.

As a brief guide to who you will find on our website, here is a quick rundown on the many talented people who come together to make The Mag Online the very best place to be informed and entertained on all things Newcastle United.
