The Tottenham v Newcastle saga had one final embarrassing extra.

The game was previously moved for TV back in March, only to be postponed due to Spurs’ FA Cup commitments.

Fans were then promised a new date would be announced by Tuesday 3 April only for that not to happen.

Then yesterday (Wednesday 4 April) the match was finally announced for Wednesday 9 May at Wembley.

Newcastle United releasing an official statement (see below), revealing that the match would be shown live on Sky Sports.

Now though on Thursday, it has been discovered that the club misled supporters, and the game is NOT on live TV.

However, it does go ahead on Wednesday 9 May along with three other postponed Premier League matches but none of them will be shown live (see below).

What an absolute disaster, after all of this delay you then find out the match isn’t even on TV and the question has to be why then this long wait to find out?
