Ayoze Perez goal nominated for Premier League goal of the week

Ayoze Perez has been nominated for Premier League goal of the week, after his cracking effort against Arsenal.

This made it three goals in three games for the man from Tenerife, having scored the winner against both Huddersfield and Leicester.

He doesn’t score a lot of goals but when he does, they tend to be pretty decent.

Sky Sports have chosen six goals from the weekend action and there is tough competition.

The other five the Newcastle man is up against, include Arsenal’s smart opening goal when Aubameyang and Lacazette combined.

However, I know I might be biased but…I think the Perez goal was higher quality.

A superb Shelvey pass, Gayle doing really well to bring it down and lay it off to Yedlin, who then whipped in the perfect cross that was by an even better finish.

To vote for the Ayoze Perez goal (and/or to see all six strikes) go here, the early voting actually sees the Ayoze Perez goal in second place at the moment, but he needs a bit of help to win.

Mo Salah currently has 80% of the vote, whilst Ayoze Perez is next best with 8%.

Andre Ayew – SWANSEA v Everton (2%)

Andy Carroll – WEST HAM v Stoke (2%)

Olivier Giroud (1st) – Southampton v CHELSEA (4%)

Alexandre Lacazette – Newcastle v ARSENAL (3%)

Ayoze Perez – NEWCASTLE v Arsenal (8%)

Mohamed Salah – LIVERPOOL v Bournemouth (80%)
