The club has confirmed the new Newcastle United third kit.

A social media teaser was released on Wednesday morning by NUFC, saying that the full strip would be revealed later today, with the players wearing it (this news was met with replies to the club on social media saying it was a shame there wouldn’t be many new signings to model it…).

However, a blunder by the club left Newcastle fans able to see the new strip ahead of the official launch.

The products were loaded onto the club’s official shop website before being taken down (though the link was still working to the page at 10am – see here, though it comes up as an error message when trying to buy…then by 10.30am only the NUFC kit baby size shirt image/kit were still showing! ), though not before a number of supporters spotted them.

The latest Newcastle United third kit retails at the same price as the 2017/18 home one, with adult short sleeved shirts at £54.99 and junior ones at £39.99.

The new third kit is the one that saw leaked images circulating in recent days believing it to be the away/second strip and which Puma appeared to confirm (as new NUFC strip) after the weekend with their own teaser.

No date as yet on when the new kit will be on sale but presumably that will be discovered later today when the club do their official launch.

It was supposed to be released today but it has been put back to next Thursday. Also to anyone interested the away kit is blue…

I’d love to see them do a second strip based on the Northumbrian flag.

I like the idea of a kit that means something. Is it Galatasary who have a red and yellow striped kit?

that lot can`t even get a shirt sale right, is it any wonder they can`t get players in

The club website and social media accounts have always been shoddy.

  • Jezza

What a joke. It’s just a black t shirt with a huge advertising logo on it. I’ll bet it’s more or less the same thing the sponsors’ employees have to wear to work. Anybody who pays £55 quid for that piece of junk needs their head examining.

A third strip? So we’re in Europe already? Where are are the Ameobis when we need them

All this hype about the club taking fans money. Irony 🥇
