There are now a host of Premier League free agents that have officially become available today.
The end of June is when pretty much every single player in England sees their contract run to, so 1 July 2017 is when they are officially free – if this has been the last year of their contract.
Obviously some have been snapped up already by other clubs ahead of this formal parting of the ways at the end of June/1 July.
However, below you will find 34 Premier League free agents that are now without a club.
There are some very high profile players, such as John Terry and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Whilst there are also many others who clearly look to have some time left in the Premier League, players like 31 year old Charlie Adam and also the Manchester City quartet of Navas, Caballero, Clichy & Sagna.
Whilst Haris Vuckic has got fixed up in Holland with FC Twente, the Newcastle trio of Sammy Ameobi, Yoan Gouffran and Vurnon Anita are all yet to see their futures tied up.
Yesterday it was claimed that Gouffran had a deadline of last night in which to decide whether to take up Newcastle’s offer of a one year contract extension – as yet no news either way on that one.
So does anybody on this list of 31 players (excluding the NUFC trio) catch your eye as able to do a job for Newcastle United this coming season?
