Fair play to Leeds. Le’s hope it stays on an upward curve for us next season. A good atmosphere clearly inspires the players and we’re gonna need that next season more than ever.

    • Jimblag23

Clearly cos those top 6 teams achieve so much these days.
Villa park being in the top 20 proves this list is false, I’ve been there countless times and the atmosphere is always terrible.

when you have players who have a fraction of the talent that teams like Chelski and Man yoo have any help from the stands has a benefit. Maybe that help from the stands at the liberty was enough to be the difference between staying up and being relegated? I wasnt suggesting that good atmosphere correlates to a championship winning team but it can help an average team and thats what most of the teams in the top of that list are- we certainly are and have been for a long time.

Leeds are second only to playing the scum for atmosphere at SJP.

        Agreed.

Interesting no place for emirates, Old Trafford, Ethihad, Stamford Bridge – for the life of me I can’t think why! Oh I can – plastic fans!

    • Geordiegiants

We have more than our fair share of them Brian.

      • Brian Standen

        Possibly so I guess

Empty trophy cabinets make the most noise.

For once I can’t argue with you – 100% correct

      • Whickhamrobbie

no people leaving their seats after 40 mins make more .

  • toonterrier

It was brilliant a few years ago but after the departure of Sir Bobby and KK not forgetting the closing of the singing section it went downhill. The atmosphere now is poor and all the fault of the large greedy one. In the good old days us old folk went home with a croaky throat after ninety minutes of raising the roof. Those days are gone and unless we can build a winning team it wont come back.

If we are rated 3rd football needs help.
It’s like a library at our place, even in the years of the fat man ripping our club to bits, 90% of the fans sat on their hands with their mouths taped shut.
Now RAFA is here it’s upped a touch, but even that has been anything but spectacular. Football has lost its sole, or rather sold its sole to the devil. To many fans I here saying stuff like, I only go to see the lads for a pint, it’s the only time I get to spend quality time with my kids etc etc. It would be better with 25000 real fans!

    • Whickhamrobbie

Spot on if we are third then wtf. there is more atmosphere at gateshead stadium with 600 in it .
did he mean our moans are the third loudest because our fans certainly arn,t.
portsmouth ,palace are much better imo

      • Geordiegiants

Both of them have much more vocal support than us, not that it would be difficult mind.

What a load of rubbish. Do their reports take into account the number of other Yorkshire teams in the Championship which then offers multiple derby games in one season, as opposed to Newcastle having none (you could argue Middlesbrough being an exception but that’s never seen by fans as a derby)? Of course the atmosphere is going to be better for a team like Leeds who have multiple derbies!

    • Ross Boyer

No need to justify it. It is what it is

    • Mark Richardson

obviously haven’t seen the Scratching Shed at Elland Road recently

      • 0_freaks_0

Really Mark? And where did it get Leeds exactly? You couldn’t even make the playoffs haha!
