Newcastle match worn shirts are set to sell at prices far lower than the replica shirts you buy in the club

Sunday afternoon sees the Newcastle United Foundation online auction come to a close on 81 different items, with training kit worn by Newcastle United players also going at very cheap prices.

In the NUFC club shop you have the Puma Newcastle United Authentic Home Shirt 2017/18, this is on sale for £100 (well…£99.99), the description being:

‘Feel like the players that grace the St James’ Park pitch with this Puma Newcastle United Authentic Home Shirt 2017 2018 which has been crafted with ACTV tape technology which micro massages the skin in key areas to help provide a faster, more effective energy supply to active muscles as well as supplying a skin tight fit.’

Sounds great…but in this auction you can get Newcastle match worn shirts, that are the ones the players actually appeared in last season as they won the Championship title!

These are the prices the Newcastle match worn shirts are going for after a week of bidding, the auctions ending around 5pm today:

In the auction the top bids for shirts that the players actually wore are currently going for £87 Yedlin, £97 Mitrovic, £67 Anita, £77 Gouffran, £87 Hayden, £87 Atsu, £52 Colback, £50 Atsu, Clark £50, Colback £50, Dummett £50….

Even the standard NUFC replica shirts at £55 are more expensive than many of the match worn ones at the minute.

Newcastle match worn kit and training gear have been donated by the NUFC first team squad to an online charity auction.

However, after running for a week, many of the 81 items have very low current winning bids with the club giving their own charity zero exposure and help with publicising the action.

The players donated their match worn shirts, shorts and training kit to the official Newcastle United charity, the Foundation, which works with local people in excellent community initiatives.

Bid now to grab a unique piece of Newcastle United memorabilia AND raise money for a great cause.

The online charity auction includes all kinds of exclusive NUFC kit and memorabilia donated by the Newcastle United players from this past season.

Every penny raised by this charity initiative will go to the club’s charity wing, Newcastle United Foundation, to use to help fund their work in the local community.

(NB: Watch out – when it just says signed shirt and doesn’t specifically say ‘match worn’ in the title description, they are usually replica shirts and not the actual ones worn by the players this past season, so fully check the description before making a bid)
