Hearts v Newcastle tickets have gone on sale north of the border.
Described as a ‘glamour friendly’ by the Edinburgh based club, Hearts have put tickets on sale to season ticket holders on Wednesday (28 June).
Tickets are priced at £20 each with £10 for concessions, as Ian Cathro prepares to meet up with former boss Rafa Benitez once again.
The match takes place on Friday 14 July with a 7.45pm kick-off, the first of five friendlies (all away) that Newcastle have announced so far.
There will be one game at St James Park though Newcastle haven’t announced opposition or date/time, however, it is widely believed to be against Hellas Verona, the Serie A club managed by another Rafa assistant, Fabio Pecchia. A date of Sunday 6 August has been claimed for the game in the Italian media.
There is now only 16 days to go until the Hearts v Newcastle match, so hopefully NUFC will be releasing details of tickets soon, though with only three stands currently open – there are reports that Newcastle fans could be allocated as few as 1,300 tickets.
Hearts Official Announcement:
Tickets for Hearts’ glamour friendly match against English Premier League giants Newcastle United are on sale now to season ticket holders.
Supporters who have snapped up season tickets for the 2017/18 campaign can now purchase their tickets for the Tynecastle friendly match, which takes place on Friday, July 14th at 7.45pm.
Tickets are priced at £20 for adults and £10 for concessions (Over 65s, Students, Under 18s and Under 13s).
Season ticket holders can purchase their tickets – one per account and subject to availability – now via the club’s three sales channels: online at Hearts eTickets, over the phone by calling 0333 043 1874, option 1 or in person at the Hearts Ticket Office situated in the Wheatfield Stand Undercroft.
Season ticket holders who have taken up the club’s ‘seat guarantee’ option are reminded that this offer does not take effect until September 9th, when the new Main Stand is scheduled to open.
Due to the building works currently taking place at Tynecastle Park, some seats in both lower and upper Section D of the Wheatfield Stand will be unable to purchase for this game, as elements of key matchday operations must be rehomed in these areas.
The club thanks supporters for patience shown at this time and assures season ticket holders that these seats will be available once the league campaign begins.
Details of a general sale for this friendly match will be released in due course, subject to ticket availability.
