Many of us just sit at home and speculate/agonise over the coming football season and Newcastle’s part in it.

However, other Toon fans make the most of a break/escape from the pressures of following Newcastle United, by finding other summer pursuits to follow.

The past few days have seen the latest Glastonbury festival take place.

Newcastle United were represented and here below you see a classic image of NUFC supporters flying the Rafa Benitez flag at the UK’s premier music festival.

Hannah Ager has put the image up on Twitter, with Newcastle fans Ryan Adams and Scott McWilliams pictured.

I always look out for the Northumbrian flag which has been there each year.

    • Jimblag23

I always look out for your face on a flag. Always disappointed but will keep searching Leazes, you’re everywhere else 😘

Northumberland is the flag I was born under and is before the England and Britain flags in my eyes

    • giimps

English by birth, Northumbrian by the grace of god………or something like that

    • Jimblag23

Who gives a sh*t what flag you’re born under? Aren’t we all born on plant earth and should stand together?

  • MichaelMaximusMoose

2nd on the day only to the Gimp Corbyn who was headlining the Pyramid stage
telling the gullible about utopia & his money tree
most other MP`s were attending various locations for Armed Forces Day

It will have many a miner turning in his grave when he speaks at the Durham miners gala, as a young lad living in hazelrigg my granda worked at Havana pit and I must say I hope past miners don’t just appease him, he does not speak for me as the leader of the labour party

      • Peter

Well, funnily enough Corbyn is headlining the Durham Miners Gala next month and the crowd expected is in excess of 200 000…. the Durham Miners association, run by ex-miners, have invited him to speak for the third year in a row…

        • MichaelMaximusMoose

          lucky him

          • Peter

Yes…it should be really good. Corbyn spoke excellently in front of a crowd of over 10 000 in the pouring rain in Gateshead a few weeks back.

Get yourself along to Durham on 8th July….then you can actually hear what Corbyn has to say….

    • Jimblag23

Haha standard respone from a Mayday supporter chatting about the money tree.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have ourselves a Conservative!

I wonder if he is the rich kind or the stupid kind?

  • Lhc

Corbynista’s – no flag flying for nufc there in my book!

  • Lhc

F#%k Jc and the left, toodle ooo

    • Peter

What a silly comment…as usual from the right….absolutely no discussion of policies or anything at all really….Oh well, there you go…

      • Lhc

        😴😴😴 have a nice day

        • Peter

          I will…you too…

      • MichaelMaximusMoose

there`s nothing silly about saying F@@K Corbyn, i tell him to his face

        • Peter

Why? What’s he done to you? Just wondering….

        • Mumbles

You keep leaving out the important part. Why?

“Just cos he’s a gimp” isn’t a reason. Its ridiculous.

  • Peter

Also spotted a Northumberland flag in the crowd this year….

    • ZICO MARTIN

That is Jane lady mayor of Amble!

  • Peaco

Perhaps we could avoid politics (either right, left or centre) and get on with discussing football – personally I’m sick of hearing them slag each other off.

    • MichaelMaximusMoose

we would but it seems Nufc is currently in stasis

  • HappyToons

There’s a local Housing Association called ISOS but due to the obvious (ISIS) they changed it to Carbon (Corbyn), not sure which one sounds best. ISIS and you would have Sharia Law and probably no hands to type. Corbyn has Karl MarX and Enver as his heroes. You are definitely indoctrinated to join ISIS, but it seems you need to read up on Karl MarX before you become a Corbyn luvvie. Yet most of the North East vote for the same old Labour whether it is Michael Foot and Kinnock, or an IRA luvvin’ Communist. Back on topic and back to the musak …’Corbyn is a communist and I wouldn’t vote for him.’ Noel Gallagher
