As you may have heard, Sunderland were relegated with a month and four matches of the season remaining.
Rock bottom of the table and one of the worst Premier League teams of all time, the club would have to be careful when navigating these final weeks of their latest relegation.
Playing Hull at 3pm on Saturday, just before they announced their team, Sunderland sent out the following on their official Twitter account:
“Team news at 2pm. There’s three changes to the starting XI, any predictions?”
Maybe they will think a little harder in the future before inviting answers like the ones they got below, from Newcastle AND Sunderland fans:
‘I predict Defoe leaving on a free and Moyes staying.’
‘My prediction is all changes will be disappointing.’
‘Moyes, Short and Bain all out and incomes a decent manager, someone who cares about the club and a new chief executive.’
‘Moyes out short out Bain out.’
‘Lauren Laverne, Steve Cram and Phil Brown in for Borini, Defoe and O’Shea.’
‘Back to back relegations.’
‘Bad players out, bad players in.’
‘Hull 3 Suunderland 0.’
‘I predict that you’ll be playing in the Championship next season.’
‘Nobody gives a……’
