If you ever doubted the craziness of the media and the transfer window, over this past weekend Newcastle United have been linked with making 19 different signings.

In just 48 hours, the media suggested Newcastle could buy:

4 Full-Backs

6 Centre-Backs

4 Midfielders

2 Wingers

3 Strikers

In addition, there were also stories linking 5 different Newcastle players with an exit from the club this summer.

As you will see in the list below, many of the players have been linked with Newcastle in the past – some very regularly/almost every transfer window.

Almost as though the press are just regurgitating old claims of signings…

Vurnon Anita appears in both lists, with some claiming he is getting a new contract, whilst others confidently claim he is moving on.

It looks like we are in for an interesting…and often frustrating/annoying Summer.
