If you ever doubted the craziness of the media and the transfer window, over this past weekend Newcastle United have been linked with making 19 different signings.

In just 48 hours, the media suggested Newcastle could buy:

4 Full-Backs

6 Centre-Backs

4 Midfielders

2 Wingers

3 Strikers

In addition, there were also stories linking 5 different Newcastle players with an exit from the club this summer.

As you will see in the list below, many of the players have been linked with Newcastle in the past – some very regularly/almost every transfer window.

Almost as though the press are just regurgitating old claims of signings…

Vurnon Anita appears in both lists, with some claiming he is getting a new contract, whilst others confidently claim he is moving on.

It looks like we are in for an interesting…and often frustrating/annoying Summer.

    messi ? Ronaldo….

    • keith holt

Santa is making an apperance too

  • Soldier

i think the outgoing figure is 10 short, i`d take all the Chelsea players mentioned.
of our current players i wouldn`t give any of them an extention

    • Leazes Ender

I’d settle for that …..we can keep Shelvey.

    • Oooh bobbi fleckman

We can’t if you give £15m in sponsorship back.

  • glassjawsh-got-banned

As long as we still have Shelvey, Ritchie and Yedlin suit up in August, we should all be fine with whatever improvements Rafa wants to make. Though I’d be less than thrilled to see Clark, Mbemba or Hayden go, I could at least live with it.

  • Kazie

I would buy Nathan Ake, Harry Maguire, Gylfi Siggurdson, Jay Rodriguez and Andre Gray.

  • NUFCLX

This is just the start of it, there will probably be hundreds by the time the window closes. Not to mention how many players will have been spotted at the airport or the ground. Time to get excited is when the stories are ended with “There is a press conference scheduled for this afternoon”

Had to rub my eyes when I saw Super Mac, Super Bob and Super Frank modelling the new strip … three fantastic new signings but 45 years too late. They looked like what heading a wet caser (casey) leather football must do to you and Peter took a few in the face.

If Fulham miss out in play offs we’ve got to get a deal done for Cairney quick, don’t want us to miss out on this one like we did with Alli through messing about, the lads got potential and will add goals from midfield something we lack outside of Ritchie. If we don’t get him somebody else will.

  • Paul Patterson

Gibbs, Delph and Cairney added to my own preference of Shawcross and possibly Joe Hart if we could tempt him. Add a good striker in the mix and we’re laughing.

    • HappyToons

Agree with three out of five- Hart as he has been hopeless in Italy if you read about his most recent game. Hart doesn’t excel at anything if you watch him. Poor handling and kicking. Poor at getting down on the deck to his left. And surprisingly clumsy, even with England, but usually got away with mistakes. The fact City got rid and no major clubs came in for him speaks volumes and has more to do than his poor ball control with his feet.

Gibbs can get in the England squad so he is more than good enough for us, a very good player as is Shawcross. Not sure about Delph as seems a bit limited. Cairney looks good in the championship but so did Bamford at Boro. but worth a go.

  • foggy

May aswell join the circus, Foggy’s transfer targets. Rafa take note lol.

    RB– Andrea Conti (atalanta)
    LB– Jetro Willems (psv)
    CH- Ryan Shawcross
    AM– Pablo Sarabia (sevilla)
    CF– Ciro Immobile. (Lazio)

Not sure if we need a new goalie.

  • Rich Lawson

Wes Morgan would be a good signing for 2 years, prem class defender who could teach some of our young n’s a bit and stengthen the defence ?

  • Nasar Harris

I think a very good buy would be Jay Rodriguez.
