Heard it all now…’Barcelona and Real Madrid fighting it out over Moussa Sissoko’

Moussa Sissoko is allegedly being ‘fought over’ by Real Madrid and Barcelona.

There are transfer stories and then there are…transfer stories!

The claims have been made by Spanish media organisation Don Balon.

They say that despite his pathetic showing for Tottenham, Real Madrid are going to try and hijack Barcelona’s bid for Moussa Sissoko.

AC Milan are also supposedly keen on taking the midfielder who has only started one Premier League match since December.

To an extent you can believe the Serie A club potentially being interested, they can finish no higher than sixth this season and are 25 points behind Juventus at the top.

AC Milan now have money to spend through wealthy backers and are desperate to revive past glories, so will be trying to persuade any vaguely credible player to join them.

As for Real Madrid and Barcelona though, it is surely a joke to imagine them giving any thought at all to a player who has done nothing to suggest he is good enough for them.

Moussa Sissoko having coasted through 95% of his time at Newcastle after an impressive opening few months, then proving an absolute disaster for Tottenham after they wasted £30m on him.

Don Balon claim that Real Madrid and Zinedine Zidane tried to buy Sissoko last summer…well if that had been the case, he’d have been off there like a shot.

No doubt the next Don Balon exclusive will see Real Madrid and Barcelona fighting it out over Alan Pardew as their next manager…
