We won that one thanks to Preston illegally fielding two goalkeepers.

I hear most haunted plan an episode after several reports of the spirit of Saylor being seen diving across the goal line. Skeptics have dismissed this as no attempt to appear to have been shot was made

Whilst Elliot is the better keeper I felt sorry for Darlow that he couldn’t celebrate promotion in the way he deserved. He’s had some dodgy moments but on the whole has done a decent job this year.

Ritchie and Hayden were impressive last night

I thought it was ironic that their goal was down to Clark losing his man. Is he really Prem quality ?
Ritchie was calmness personified and deserves a PL start.
Hayden seemed to be too far forward at times whereas he’s supposed to sit in front of the back four and protect against opposition quick breaks
Despite the fact that most fans arent keen on him, I’d persevere with Mitro as he’ll be a great striker when he learns to calm down and take his chances.
As for Elliot that save, in his first game back, said a lot.

Didnt like the twitterbashing of Vurn, OK he wont be here next season but he’s always a willing player going forward but his legs dont get him back as quickly as they used to.

Andy Mac, very perspective in all your comments. Saves me posting

Clark looked rusty, which is predictable after six games out. Apart from losing Hugill for the Preston goal, our best centre-half was too deep to catch Browne offside when Preston would have scored if not for Elliot’s top save. All of which makes me wonder why Clark is rated higher last night than Atsu, Dummett and Lascelles. Perhaps reputation sometimes outweighs reality.

Agreed. I rated Clark below the 3 you mention. I also agree with Alex above regarding Mitro. His hold up play and distribution were excellent and I think he will have played exactly the way Rafa wanted him too. If he’d have managed a goal it would have been the icing on the cake.

sorry mitro 6.9? he was class last night, two goals thanks to him, unlucky not to get a goal in the first half
