So far at Newcastle United, a total of 1,020,695 have attended the first 20 Championship games at St James Park at an average of 51,034, with three games left.
The Leeds home game was sold out some three weeks ago and confirmation today that three and a half weeks ahead of the day, the Barnsley match is also now sold out for Newcastle supporters.
There may be some small hope for that final fixture of the season, with Newcastle United saying that they are in touch with Barnsley with the possibility of some of the away allocation potentially being able to be made available to Toon fans.
All away tickets have already gone for Ipswich on Monday (though it will be shown on TV around the world), though tickets are still on public sale for Preston at home. Whilst Cardiff away is currently on sale to members and season ticket holders.
If Preston did sell out, then we would be looking at a final average home Championship crowd of around 51,160, with over one million one hundred and seventy thousand fans having attended the 23 matches.
