Young Newcastle star Freddie Woodman is enjoying life north of the border.

On loan at Kilmarnock with fellow Newcastle players Callum Roberts and Sean Longstaff, the NUFC keeper played his seventh league game of the loan spell on Saturday.

Kilmarnock beat Ross County 2-1 away and Freddie Woodman was their star man.

Now it has been revealed that the loan star has been named in the official SPFL (Scottish Professional Football League) team of the week.

Full team below and write-up on Freddie Woodman:

Freddie Woodman (Kilmarnock)

‘The on-loan Newcastle goalkeeper made a few crucial stops as Kilmarnock picked up a vital three points away to Ross County. Pick of the bunch was a save from Alex Schalk’s free-kick, which prevented County from quickly turning a 1-0 deficit into a 2-1 advantage.’

In his seven league games, Woodman has only lost two of them with Kilmarnock.
