When it comes to Premier League wins, no surprise to see Manchester United right at the top.
The victory at Middlesbrough on Sunday means that it is now 600 Premier League wins for the Old Trafford club since the rebranding of top tier football in 1992.
They are a massive 83 ahead of Arsenal and 92 in front of Chelsea, this is despite their relatively poor form in recent seasons, so a few years ago their lead must have been even more substantial.
Not a great surprise to see the top six being clubs that have been in the Premier League non-stop since its formation but Newcastle United are the highest club to feature, of those that have dipped their toes in the second tier or beyond in these past 25 years – this being the third Premier League season where Newcastle haven’t been involved.
NUFC have 322 Premier League wins but that is set to be passed very shortly by Manchester City who are now only one behind.
Looking way down in the also-rans, maybe a surprise that Middlesbrough edge out Sunderland, the Smoggies in 14th place with 164 Premier League wins, 12 ahead of the Mackems who are one place below.
The pair of them looking odds-on at the minute to say farewell to the top tier in May.
Those of you who are quick off the mark will have registered that Newcastle have more than twice as many PL victories as their nearest neighbours….
Clubs with most Premier League wins as compiled by the Express:
