David Prutton has made his predictions for this weekend, including Birmingham v Newcastle.
For the NUFC match, the Sky Sports pundit says that Birmingham fans will be looking at Gary Rowett and seeing how well he does at Derby.
For matters closer to home he predicts yet another defeat for Zola, despite ‘Newcastle having slipped up at times’.
Predicting a 2-0 win for Rafa Benitez, David Prutton says ‘this doesn’t feel like another game where they drop points’.
Huddersfield play at Bristol City tonight and Prutton goes for a 2-0 win for David Wagner.
However, he sees a tough game and 2-2 result for Brighton at Leeds tomorrow.
Those results would put Newcastle two points ahead of Brighton and six in front of Huddersfield (game in hand) going into the international break.
David Prutton speaking to Sky Sports:
“Newcastle have slipped up at times over the season but this doesn’t feel like another game where they drop points.
“They have beaten Brighton and Huddersfield away by letting them have a lot of the ball and then having the sting in the tail.
“Birmingham will be looking at what Rowett does at Derby and seeing how he fares, because they could have had that all season.”
Prutton’s predicted scores:
Friday 17 March
Bristol City 0 Huddersfield 2 (7.45pm)
Sheff Wed 1 Reading 1 (7.45pm)
Saturday 18 March
Birmingham 0 Newcastle 2 (3pm)
Leeds 2 Brighton 2 (5.30pm)
