After predicting Newcastle to win only three of their nine matches which he’d forecasted since since the turn of the year, David Prutton apologised in the lead up to Tuesday’s match.

The Sky Sports pundit saying that he was finally giving up backing against Newcastle and tipping them to beat Reading, as Rafa’s team ‘look like champions’..

David Prutton 6 March 2017:

“I tipped Brighton to beat Newcastle and Newcastle won.

“I tipped Huddersfield to beat Newcastle and Newcastle won.

“Sorry Toon fans, I’m tipping Newcastle this time (to beat Reading) as they look like champions.”

However, that didn’t last long…

Newcastle of course got a decent draw at Reading rather than his predicted 1-0 win but with Newcastle returning to St James Park, David Prutton is at it again.

Whilst tipping both Brighton and Huddersfield to win this weekend, Prutton has gone for a 2-2 draw against Fulham.

He’ll get it right one of these days!

David Prutton talking to Sky Sports Thursday 9 March 2017:

“This should be a good game with the way that Fulham approach it.

“They have a lot of energy and pace in the wide areas, and in Tom Cairney have someone who showed his quality with the late goal against Leeds in midweek.

“Newcastle have had a good 10 days with wins at Brighton and Huddersfield and then drawing Reading, but I think the points will be shared on Saturday.”

Prutton’s predictions for teams in the top six this weekend:

Brighton 2 Derby 1 (Fri 7.45pm)

Aston Villa 0 Sheff Wed 1 (Sat 3pm)

Brentford 1 Huddersfield 2 (Sat 3pm)

Leeds 2 QPR 2 (Sat 3pm)

Newcastle 2 Fulham 2 (Sat 3pm)

Be glad that the games are played on the pitch by real players, not in the TV studio by so-called pundits. A safe bet that in Las Vegas, he would be broke in less than 10 minutes.

Pretty sure he is a pundit, just not an expert. ?

He’s a tool, oops!!! not true tools are usefull

    • Taz

I wouldn’t give him that long.

  • magpiefifer

Glad he’s not tipping us to win again!!
Mind you his prediction could be right – Fulham will be a tough test, especially with our home form.
Many might think that the 3 toughest matches are over, but we have another 10 difficult games before the end of the season!
