Toon fans have been left disappointed after the away ticket allocation for Huddersfield v Newcastle was revealed.

Newcastle fans are left to fight over less than two thousand tickets for this key promotion clash.

Away supporters now only get half the Chadwick Lawrence end at Huddersfield and unlike Wolves and other matches this season, there is no chance for extra tickets being made available (Newcastle eventually ended up with 4,200 tickets for Wolves after the allocation was twice increased).

Huddersfield crowds have been healthy with their promotion push and the 22, 400 for the Leeds match at the weekend was the highest yet this season.

However, they still haven’t filled their 24,500 capacity as yet, so it will be frustrating if there are empty seats when Huddersfield v Newcastle takes place next month.

Newcastle United official announcement:

‘Newcastle have been allocated just under 2,000 seats and they were released to season ticket holders with 110 or more away loyalty points on Tuesday, 7th February.

Prices are £30 for adults, £20 for over-60s, £10 for under-18s. For wheelchair disabled supporters, tickets cost £20 with a free carer; for ambulant disabled, they are the relevant price class with a free carer.

Under-14s must be accompanied by an adult.

Kick-off on Saturday, 4th March is 5.30pm. Huddersfield won 2-1 at St. James’ Park in August and are firmly in the battle for automatic promotion.’

Newcastle United face a busy rest of the month, with five games to fit in from next Saturday 11 February, starting with the visit to Wolves.

When you include the away game at Huddersfield on the first Saturday in March, it means four of NUFC’s next six games are live on TV.
