The results of the Newcastle v Norwich player ratings by fans.
The Norwich fans may have given him a little bit of stick but Jonjo Shelvey (7.0) was once again the driving force behind most good things going forward, getting top marks here by the fans who voted.
Top defender was yet again Ciaran Clark (6.6), keeping his head as others around them lost theirs in a mad period of play in the first half which gifted Norwich their two goals.
Only two other players managed a score of 6.0 or better, with DeAndre Yedlin (6.4) arguably Newcastle’s biggest attacking threat and Ayoze Perez (6.1 chipping in with a goal and an assist.
When it comes to those at the lower end, four players scored under 5.0, including the two culprits who were at fault for the home side’s goals.
Karl Darlow (4.0) having a rare off day and getting the very lowest score, making a few other less crucial mistakes as well as the goal clanger.
Jamaal Lascelles (4.7) was also marked down for his part in the goals conceded, whilst Jack Colback (4.4) and Yoan Gouffran (4.7) put in yet more anonymous performances.
Aleksandar Mitrovic (5.0) was next lowest as he failed to convert a series of chances.
Whilst completing the line-up, Matt Ritchie (5.7) and Paul Dummett (5.6) stuck at it but didn’t have a major impact on the game.
