Club confirm incredible number of Newcastle fans midweek at Reading

Newcastle fans delivered the latest full house at St James Park on Saturday, the sold out signs up when Bristol City visited.

That makes the home average now 51,066, with six games still to go and a 50,000+ average now seemingly guaranteed (see stats below).

On the road as well, Newcastle supporters have shown themselves the best in the division by some distance.

A trio of away touch away matches coming up, both on and off the pitch, proving the point.

Brighton on Tuesday night is a 701 miles round trip by road and all 2,700 away tickets were quickly snapped up.

It is then 242 miles to Huddersfield and back on Saturday, with a very disappointing away allocation of only 1,900, over five times as many could have easily been sold.

Then eight days time we have a 577 miles round trip to Reading, bringing the distance travelled in a week to 1,520 miles for those going to all three.

Despite this, the club have confirmed that over a week before that match, all tickets have now been sold and almost 4,000 Newcastle fans will be at Reading.

Let’s hope the players show that same commitment in this crucial three game period that could define the season.
