Andy Carroll has been asked to name the greatest players he has shared a dressing room with.

The West Ham striker tasked by the official Premier League website to identify the best players he has played with, to make up a dream five a side team.

As well as Winston Reid, his current West Ham teammate, Andy Carroll has gone for a couple of relative unknowns in Steven Gerrard and Luis Suarez.

To complete his line-up, the former Newcastle centre-forward has chosen two players he appeared alongside at St James Park.

Andy Carroll:

Shay Given

“In goal I am going to have Shay Given, I thought he was a great player for Newcastle and obviously I trained with him a lot, he was fantastic.

“He was one of the entertainers.

“I think he was a great person to have in the dressing room and he kept the morale high.”

Kevin Nolan

Kevin Nolan – I have been with him at both Newcastle and West Ham.

“He was a Captain at both, worked hard and never stopped, kept all the lads going.”

“He was a great leader and did well at Newcastle and West Ham.”
