What has been the most frustrating thing of the past 90 minutes with Newcastle United?
The fact we were in charge for most of the game at Blackburn and despite multiple chances, failed to get the ball (legally) in the back of the net (a worrying trend in the past month)?
The fact that we conceded a dumb goal from an equally dumb foul?
The fact that at the final whistle the Blackburn fans celebrated as if it was 1995 all over again?
None of the above….
The truly frustrating thing is some of our ‘supporters’ are calling for Rafa’s head!
Halfway through a season which sees Newcastle United sitting very comfortably in the top two, some feel we need a change….for who or what?
Regardless the calibre of team, the Championship is one hell of a hard slog and dips in form will happen, anyone who remembers the Derbys and Brightons of recent seasons will agree with that.
If we get to the end of the month and we have continued to drop points and have started a decent downwards slump then fair play let’s ask questions – but that’s not happened as of yet.
We have a good squad and a great manager. This though doesn’t automatically permit us to crush teams week in week out.
The fact that some think it does, is truly ridiculous.
No wonder other club’s supporters laugh at us and our ‘delusions’.
