The away fans have been given a third and final ticket allocation for the Newcastle v Rotherham match.

The game on Saturday 21 January (3pm kick-off) sees (current) second top against the team that is rock bottom of the Championship.

However, the Rotherham fans are obviously intent on enjoying their visit to St James Park regardless.

Their initial allocation of just under 2,300 only went on sale on Wednesday and 1,300 tickets were snapped up on the first day by season ticket.

Rotherham then requested a further 600 tickets on Friday and now on Monday, they have asked for and been given another 335.

This means they now have their full and final allocation of 3,206, with only 650 tickets remaining at close of business today.

With all the talk this weekend of smaller clubs taking large away followings to glamour cup matches, Rotherham are set to bring around a third of their normal home attendance to Tyneside – as they average under ten thousand at their New York Stadium.
