Fans will find out the next lot of Newcastle United Live TV matches today.
At 3pm this (Thursday) afternoon, the early March Championship fixtures will be announced for live broadcast.
If the current league table is any guide, Rafa Benitez has a tough start to that month and games that look likely contenders for Sky Sports.
We will definitely find out if these first two March fixtures are going to be on Live TV, whilst today’s announcement could also encompass the home game v Fulham on Saturday 11th.
Saturday 4 March – Huddersfield v Newcastle
Tuesday 7 March – Reading v Newcastle
Saturday 11 March – Newcastle v Fulham
Reading and Huddersfield are currently third and fourth, six points behind Newcastle, so those matches will surely be considered.
As the season draws on, just like the Premier League, the lower divisions look more towards games that are crucial at the bottom, and especially the top, of the divisions, so very likely Newcastle will feature increasingly more.
The schedule announced up to the end of February means these NUFC matches are already going to be shown live:
Wednesday 1 February – Newcastle v QPR (7.45pm)
Saturday 11 February – Wolves v Newcastle (5.30pm)
Monday 20 February – Newcastle v Aston Villa (8pm)
Other matches that could possibly be broadcast live, are the FA Cup fourth round at Oxford (will be played around weekend of Saturday 28 January) if Newcastle get past Birmingham, whilst whenever they drop the postponed Brighton v Newcastle game into the schedules, it would surely be a major surprise is that isn’t selected.
