With less than five hours remaining of the January transfer window remaining, time to take stock of where we are at.
With the clock ticking onto 6.30pm, the 11pm deadline is fast approaching.
So far, as published by BBC Sport, the number of players signed by Championship clubs now stands at 75 throughout this 31 day period.
More pertinently maybe for Newcastle United, they are the only club in the top seven who have not strengthened their squad.
In all, the other six clubs in that top seven have made 16 signings (details of each one listed below) between them.
League leaders Brighton have made three signings, with promising young players Tomori and Akpom arriving from Chelsea and Arsenal respectively, whilst their top scorer Glenn Murray has now signed a permanent contract.
Sheffield Wednesday are also reported to be close to buying Jordan Rhodes for £10m from Middlesbrough.
All of them have made at least two signings and as for Newcastle, we still await/hope for news on Andros Townsend (he’s on the bench for Crystal Palace at Bournemouth tonight) but nothing as yet…
