As well as the Champions League matches being revealed on Monday morning, it was also the Europa League draw and clubs finding out if they had drawn Manchester United.

Former Champions League regulars, Manchester United are clear 5/1 favourites for the second class Euro tournament and with qualification via the Premier League looking a tough ask – are sure to throw everything this season into winning the Europa League and qualifying for the 2017/18 Champions League.

Henri Saivet now faces a trip to Old Trafford in February, he and his St Etienne teammates set to play Man Utd on 16 Feb and 23 Feb 2017.

The Newcastle player is on loan for the season after being a bizarre (pre-Rafa) signing in January, when Newcastle were desperate for defenders and strikers, instead the transfer committee bought three players to play in the middle of the pitch.

However, hopes must be high that Saivet will be a player that can be resold back to France, as unlike other loan players such as Emmanuel Riviere, the midfielder is having a decent time this season.

Henri Saivet has made 15 appearances for St Etienne so far, including the five starts in the Europa League which helped the French team to qualify out of their group with a game to spare.

Meanwhile, in Ligue 1 St Etienne are currently in eighth, though only three points behind Lyon who are currently fourth.

Elsewhere in the Europa League draw today, Spurs drew Matz Sels’ former club Gent.

In the Champions League, Leicester got Sevilla, Man City play Monaco and it Arsenal v Bayern Munich.
