The latest Newcastle live TV games were revealed on Friday morning by Sky Sports

Newcastle’s visit to Blackburn was already confirmed as live on Sky Sports at 3pm on Monday 2 January 2017.

Two more games were added to the live TV schedule, with Brentford now moved to the Monday (16 Jan) night with a 7.45pm kick-off, whilst the home game with QPR was also confirmed for TV – but it keeps its original 7.45pm kick-off and date (Wed 1 Feb).

However, there is one very big thing wrong with the inclusion of the Brentford game by Sky Sports, with them really plumbing new depths of not giving a toss about supporters.

Moving this Brentford match to a Monday night is having a laugh with Newcastle supporters anyway – but it gets worse.

The previous weekend will see both Newcastle and Brentford in FA Cup action and if either team plays a draw and needs a 3rd round replay, the Championship match now scheduled for live coverage on Monday 16 January, will revert back to the original Saturday 14 January date.

Let that sink in, either Brentford or Newcastle draw on Saturday 7 January and suddenly everybody who has bought a ticket and made travel/accommodation plans for Monday 16 January, now finds out the game will actually be on Saturday 14 January in only seven days time.

You have to ask, why couldn’t Sky Sports just leave this match/slot alone?

It actually could get even more crazy because BBC and BT Sport are showing FA Cup matches live this season and Newcastle or Brentford’s FA Cup third round match could be moved as far forward as Monday 9 January!

This is quite literally, one you just couldn’t have made up…
