With the surprise announcement that Ian Holloway was back in football management, Sky Sports needed somebody else to do their weekly predictions in the lower leagues.
Replacing the newly appointed QPR boss is David Prutton.
The former Leeds player taking a look at his old club’s clash with Newcastle this weekend.
In eight away matches Newcastle have kept five clean sheets and conceded a single goal on three occasions but Prutton believes the Magpies will concede two goals on the road for the first time.
The Sky Sports pundit predicting a 2-2 draw with Dwight Gayle amongst the scorers.
The last 10 games have seen Newcastle second in the form stakes with 25 points from 30, whilst Leeds are third best with 22. A difficult looking game and maybe a draw not the worst result.
However, David Prutton predicts the team with the best form in those 10 games to continue their run, Brighton have picked up 26 points from the last 30 and the Ian Holloway replacement thinks they will beat Aston Villa 2-0 tonight and go level on points, at least temporarily.
David Prutton talking to Sky Sports:
“I am deeply honoured to step into the shoes of Ian Holloway after he left us behind to get back into the crazy world of football management
“This (Leeds v Newcastle) is a score draw for me.
“If Newcastle had played this fixture six or seven weeks ago, it would have been a straight forward win.
“But there’s a real doggedness and determination about Leeds at the moment and they have a nice bit of quality.
“If they play, I think both Chris Wood and Dwight Gayle can see it as a great opportunity to get on the scoresheet.”
