England lined up today with both Newcastle and Sunderland represented, Isaac Hayden and Duncan Watmore in the starting eleven.
It was the final match in European Championship Under 21 qualifying, though England had already won through to next year’s finals, with Freddie Woodman keeping a clean sheet in the previous game as the young Three Lions beat Kazakhstan 1-0.
Isaac Hayden was today making his first appearance for the England Under 21s in the following team:
Walton, Iorfa, Galloway, Hayden, Stephens, Chalobah, Onomah, Swift, Abraham, Grealish, Watmore
The match was played at Walsall FC’s stadium and they signed off their qualifying campaign in style against Bosnia & Herzegovina.
John Swift and Tammy Abraham gave England a 2-0 win at half-time.
Then three more goals were added after the break, with strikes from Onomah, Watmore and another for Abraham.
Congratulations to Isaac Hayden on his selection and performance.
