The club have just given an update on ticket sales for Newcastle v Brentford tomorrow.
Newcastle United have revealed that ticket sales have passed 51,000 and only a handful of tickets remain for the match, Brentford confirming earlier this week that they had sold the best part of their three thousand two hundred ticket allocation and hopeful of selling the ones they had remaining.
A total of 249,837 have attended the five Championship home games so far (see breakdown below), at an average of 49,967.
The latest news means that it is guaranteed that after the Newcastle v Brentford match, over 300,000 paying supporters will have attended the first half dozen games.
This means the Championship average at St James Park will once again be in excess of 50,000.
This season so far, there have been five home Championship matches:
52,079 Newcastle v Huddersfield
48,209 Newcastle v Reading
49,196 Newcastle v Brighton
52,117 Newcastle v Wolves
48,236 Newcastle v Norwich
***51,000+ Newcastle v Brentford
