Sunderland have been well and truly Pardewed.

Saturday afternoon saw the Mackems hosting Crystal Palace, Alan Pardew returning to the north east with his team – a match that couldn’t have all positives for Newcastle fans, something had to give.

That is unless it was abandoned with a mass brawl and both clubs fined 50 points…

Jermain Defoe put Sunderland in the lead five minutes before half-time, then added a second on the hour mark to surely win the game.

Going into the match with only one point, a lifesaver of a result for Moyes and his players.

What’s this though, only seconds after Sunderland go two up, Ledley scores for Palace.

Followed by McArthur levelling with 15 minutes to go, the dying seconds then seeing Benteke rise at a corner and Palace to win 3-2…the Mackems completely Pardewed!

It was one of those moments, yes Pardew is an irritant who along with Mike Ashley left lasting problems for Rafa Benitez BUT when it comes down to it, misery for the Mackems is where the fun is really at!

Sunderland now stranded right at the bottom with one point from 18.

Footnote: after hardly winning a game in 9 months, Alan Pardew has suddenly found one of those lucky runs of wins that keep him in a job a little longer, the silver haired genius has managed it once again…
