Rafa Benitez has picked up his first award of the season from Sir Alex Ferguson and the rest of the LMA panel.

The League Managers Association deciding that the six goal win on Tuesday night at Loftus Road, was worthy of ‘Performance of the week’.

Maybe one of their easiest decisions, the LMA panel, which also includes former Sunderland boss Howard Wilkinson and one-time Everton Manager Joe Royle, have awarded the Newcastle boss a trophy and bottle of champagne in honour of the 6-0 romp.

LMA Official Announcement:

The experienced and highly distinguished panel has managed a combined total of over 6,000 competitive matches in professional football.
