Here is the predicted Newcastle team v Wolves.

It looks clear that Rafa Benitez will make numerous changes in the Cup match tonight, both to freshen it up after Saturday and to give other players a game and opportunity.

After the disappointment at the weekend, any players called into the team might think they have a better chance than normal of staying in the side for the weekend, if they perform.

Some players look obvious, with Karl Darlow set to play again in the cup and Daryl Murphy in line to make his debut as Rafa has indicated.

Speedy full-backs Yedlin and Lazaar are also set to start for the first time, as well as Christian Atsu at the other end of the pitch.

Yoan Gouffran looks likely to be recalled, as is Jack Colback, with maybe Isaac Hayden set to play again to give extra defensive cover as the two attacking full-backs bomb on.

Lascelles and Mbemba had nightmares on Saturday so I suppose there is a chance he could play them again to get it out of their system – but the smart money has to be on the alternative Clark/Hanley partnership getting a try.

Whilst he might not have expended much energy on Saturday, Mohamed Diame could be a good fit in this team/formation with his stamina.
