Great news for travelling Newcastle fans with details of Preston away tickets announced on Thursday morning.

Only a handful of Championship clubs give a decent allocation of away tickets, with most giving less than the 3,000 which is the norm in the Premier League.

Even Aston Villa gave Newcastle less than the 3,000, preferring to have almost ten thousand empty seats.

The good news though is that Preston are one of those few to welcome big away followings, with United being allocated 5,600 tickets.

The match is on Saturday 29 October and in the buses coming together scenario, this game follows an away match at Barnsley where Newcastle were allocated 5,500 tickets for the game on Tuesday 18 October.

Those Barnsley tickets are currently available to all NUFC members/season ticket holders and it remains to be seen if the club make good their pledge, to make away tickets available to all Newcastle fans – if members/season ticket holders don’t hoover them all up.
