Not the best of Sunday afternoons for Newcastle duo Adam Armstrong and Freddie Woodman.

The England Under 20s were up against Brazil at Kidderminster’s stadium, the match kicking off at 2.30pm.

Only eight minutes were on the clock when Paqueta  put the visitors ahead after a smart team move by the Brazilians, though worse was to follow.

On 16 minutes Adam Armstrong was fouled in the box and the 19 year old Geordie forward took the spot-kick, only to see it well saved by Caique in the Brazil goal.

Another 10 minutes later and it was 2-0 to Brazil, Freddie Woodman making a mess of a back pass and Malcolm scored for the South Americans.

Woodman played the full match but Adam Armstrong was replaced on 63 minutes and his replacement, Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin, scored England’s consolation in the 80th minute.
