The extent of the injury to Rolando Aarons has been revealed.

Scans have shown it is yet more bad news for the winger, with a fractured metatarsal shown to be the outcome of his injury against Cheltenham.

Rolando Aarons only signed a new contract earlier this month, committing for five years.

The 20 year old is having a seriously bad run of luck and the net result is he has barely played any first team football so far in his career.

Injury date analyst Ben Dinnery has said that this type of injury will typically see Rolando Aarons out for around eight to ten weeks.

So it will be November at the earliest when we are likely to see him back out on the pitch.

George Caulkin – The Times:

‘Scans have shown that Rolando Aarons fractured a metatarsal during the Newcastle United victory over Cheltenham this week.’

Yet more bad news for Rafa Benitez who has discovered that both Gayle and Mitrovic will miss the Brighton game on Saturday.
