On the day of his 27th birthday, Moussa Sissoko has been ruled out of tomorrow’s match against Reading.

Rafa Benitez stating at his press conference, that the midfielder had taken a blow to his ego, sorry, ankle.

Whether you believe that or not, it would have been a major surprise if Moussa Sissoko had played on Wednesday night, judging by the hostile response from supporters when the Real Madrid star in waiting was spotted amongst the 52,000 sellout crowd.

The manager has reassured fans that by the end of the season everything will have worked out fine, whilst also stating that there will be more signings before the window closes.

As for players leaving, Rafa stated that a number of players have had clubs showing interest, including in Cheick Tiote amongst others.

Rafa Benitez:

“It has been really bad in terms of results but at the end of the season we will be fine and where we want to be.

“This is just the start. We have to fix things but I am confident we can do well.

“We have had chances we did not take. We have made mistakes at the other end. We can be better in defence, the middle and attack.

If we need to change some players (against Reading) we will do it to find the best understanding between players.”
