Newcastle United’s media partner say Juventus offering Moussa Sissoko a way out but…

I suppose the only reassuring thing about the Moussa Sissoko saga, is that it must be annoying him at least as much as his continuing presence and behaviour us irritating Newcastle fans.

However, with only four days of the transfer window now remaining, the club’s media partner have said that Juventus are offering the midfielder a way out of St James Park.

The only problem is that according to The Mirror, Juve only value Moussa Sissoko at £15m and aren’t willing to go much about that, if at all.

Whilst Newcastle fans generally don’t have the highest opinion of the French international, it is fair to say that if Juventus did rate Sissoko as good enough for their first team, then clearly the player is worth a significant amount more than that £15m figure.

Whilst Juventus did get a world record transfer fee for Pogba, most of that went on the signing of Higuain. Overall the Italian champions have more or less exactly balanced the books, with spending and sales of over £130m going both ways.

The current situation is doing nobody any favours and surely the only way any transfer is going to happen is with compromises on all sides.

Maybe a starting point will be if and when Moussa Sissoko puts in an official transfer request if there is genuine interest from a club he wants to go to, that would mean Sissoko himself sacrificing some of the money he would have expected to receive from any move, via ‘loyalty’ bonuses or whatever.

However, judging by his latest interview in France with quotes emerging on Saturday, as always Moussa Sissoko simply stills views himself as a victim in all of this, not somebody who hardly lifted a finger/foot as Newcastle were relegated, and can’t understand why everybody isn’t bending over backwards to help him fulfil his personal/selfish demands.
