Moussa Sissoko could soon have two clubs to choose from according to reports on Tuesday morning.
Preliminary talks have already taken place with both Inter Milan and Everton according to L’Equipe, with Sissoko’s agent having agreed to meet representatives from both clubs in Paris this week
Neither may meet the ideal criteria for Moussa Sissoko but he is said to be open to the idea of other clubs with the clock running down and no sign of Real Madrid…
Neither club can offer Champions League football this season, although the Serie A outfit are in the Europa League after finishing fourth last season.
The two clubs are both spending heavily in the transfer market as they aspire to get towards the top positions, Inter splashing out around £40m so far and Everton £45m.
With just over two weeks to go until the transfer window closes, it is very hard to imagine a situation where Sissoko is still at St James Park when that window slams shut.
It looks increasingly likely that both sides may have to compromise to make a move happen, with neither party getting what they really want – Newcastle lowering their asking price and Moussa Sissoko a club that is beneath what he thinks he deserves.
