Newcastle United began their Super Cup campaign in winning fashion on Monday.
Formerly known as the Milk Cup, the NUFC Academy team found themselves one behind in less than a minute through an own goal.
Lewis McNall then though levelled things after 16 minutes and at the end of the half (35 minutes each way in this competition) it was 1-1.
Despite dominating the second half of the match, Newcastle couldn’t find the winner, only for the final seconds of injury time to see young Geordie striker Lewis McNall sent through and provide his second goal and the points.
Newcastle United now play Right to Dream from Ghana on Tuesday night before concluding their group games on Wednesday against Tyrone.
