This is the real Papiss Cisse that we came to know and love…

Papiss Cisse has made his third appearance for new club Shandong Luneng on Sunday.

The former Newcastle striker’s debut in the Chinese Super League was as a late substitute away at Liaoning Whowin in a 1-1 draw.

That was followed up by another late sub appearance and his first goal, scoring the fourth in a 4-1 home win over Jangzhou, luckily scrambling home at the second attempt after failing to beat the keeper in a one on one.

Today saw Papiss Cisse up against Demba Ba’s team Shanghai Shenhua at home, though of course Ba is still recovering from that sickening double leg break.

Cisse once again started on the bench and the visitors went in at the break one goal up, with Papiss brought on once again as a late sub with 12 minutes remaining.

In the very late stages his moment came to get a valuable home draw for his third bottom team against Demba Ba’s fifth top outfit.

Graziano Pelle’s close range header was well saved but with the keeper grounded and no defender in sight…Papiss Cisse took an age to get the ball under control and the from seven yards out somehow hit it wide!

Watch it below – The reaction of Pelle is worth watching out for…
